Delicious, pure, hand-harvested salt from the beautiful crystal coast!

We are a family with eleven (yes, eleven!) children, and we love being together and working together. Although harvesting salt from the ocean is nothing new, we are excited to be bringing you this distinctive salt from right here in beautiful Emerald Isle, NC. We start by paddling out early in the morning to collect fresh sea water, and bring it back in to shore. Then we strain it, and begin the long process of boiling it down to evaporate the water, leaving behind only the pure sea salt. This takes about two days, and for every 2-3 gallons of water we bring in, we can fill one 6.5 ounce jar with salt. This is a difficult and time-consuming task, but, a very rewarding one for all of us.
